Story
Samiran,16, was born blind but his story can be bigger and brighter than that. It doesn't have to be all doom and gloom! He sings, plays drums. He has a big dream, and a big heart. Samiran desperately wants to stand on his own two feet and help out other blind, deaf, street and poor boys and girls. It takes £300 a year to support Samiran's education. EastHands wants to pay for the education and needs of Samiran and 20 other boys and girls in Sylhet, Bangladesh. These children don't have to be helpless, hopeless in such a disabled-unfriendly country both in terms of access and stigma. They have always been invisible in Bangladesh. Their rights have been trampled upon as they are often mistakenly identified as emotionally or intellectually challenged. In some parts of Bangladesh, they are even branded as a curse. Living in some of the most disadvantaged communities in rural and urban settings, their ticket out of poverty and misery is only through education. Support a physically-challenged, poor or a street child's annual education. Your donation can make a difference, more than once. It could provide them the light they have been missing so far. Don't turn a blind eye to them. Help us help them take off.
