The FORS team, which gathers over 30 people from various transport backgrounds, will be cycling, walking and running to clock-up 2,575 miles (4,144 km) in a two-week period to cover a virtual route across the UK, using the Strava app.
Starting from, and finishing at the FORS office in Croydon, the teams mileage will be added to a virtual route. The route will go around the UK via 16 check points based on the locations of some of our members including Exeter, Cardiff, Holyhead, Cork, Ballycastle, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Altrincham, Birmingham, Norwich, Margate and Brighton. FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is a voluntary accreditation scheme dedicated to raising standards across the road transport industry.
Now in its 12th year, FORS continues to provide evolving best practice for transport operators of any size and vehicle make-up, including HGVs, vans, passenger carrying vehicles, powered two-wheelers and passenger cars. With 5,000 members across the UK and Europe, FORS is a well-established transport industry accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
