Story

Community Response, Recovery & Resilience Fund

In partnership with the National Emergencies Trust, Foundation Scotland is launching the Response, Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRR).

Launched by the Duke of Cambridge, the National Emergencies Trust is a fundraising appeal which will distribute money through several foundations which cover the UK. Foundation Scotland is the lead partner for Scotland.

The RRR Fund will support local charities and grassroots organisations across Scotland to help them respond to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and recover from its impact.

Most immediately, Response is about providing emergency funding for those who are currently supporting some of Scotlands most affected and vulnerable people. These community charities need funding and they need it quickly. Already, we are making emergency donations to organisations across the length and breadth of Scotland who are working on the front line and are overwhelmed and inundated. We expect demand to increase significantly in the coming days and weeks.

So far, weve made emergency grants to organisations such as South Islay Development to help with the provision of hot meals for some of South Islays more vulnerable residents; Linkes in Glasgow who will use the funding to help provide healthy food to 300 vulnerable people over the coming weeks on Knightswood high rise estate and Wellbeing Works in Dundee to help them better support their clients who already experience severe and enduring mental health challenges.

In the medium and longer term, Recovery and Resilience is about funding a wider group of local charities and community organisations whose operations and finances have been affected so they can recover and continue their activities once the outbreak eases.

The RRR Fund so far has received commitments and contributions of £500,000 please join us in growing this fund.

With our well-established links and partnerships with local charitable bodies, front line organisations and 25 years of experience funding grassroots activity across all of Scotlands 32 local authorities, we are committed to ensuring this fund reaches those that need it the most now and in the future.

Thank you for considering our request. If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch.

Stay safe and keep well,
