Story
It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth.
We believe this truth should be made accessible to everyone including Deaf people. We have been in existence since 2008 trying to nurture the Deaf community with the message of Islam.
The British Deaf community suffers difficulties with trying to access their faith until now. That is because resources are not available to Deaf people in a manner they generally comprehend (in sign language). Al Isharah have been working over the last 12 years to make Islam accessible to the Deaf and hard of hearing through British Sign Langauge.
Al Isharah provides this through structured weekend Islamic Classes for children, Adults Islamic classes, Monthly lectures, Sisters circles and many other services. Our organisation has faced severe challenges during COVID, but by the Will of Allah and help from you, Al Isharah intends to persevere.
We have been busy creating resources for Deaf people and providing them classes online during COVID. Our services are now available nationally (Alhamdulillah).
One of our most notable projects is the translation of the glorious Quran into British Sign Language for the first time ever!
Your donations will support all of our services.
