Story

An Overview of the Challenge concept

Our Rescue animals travel incredible emotional journeys. They are the animals that others have forgotten. They are the betrayed, the neglected and the traumatised. Dogs from puppy farms, discarded cats, stressed small furries...

In time, and with the patience and devotion of their fosterers and their adopters, these lost souls become the faithful, the cared for, and the loved; its a long, hard journey, but the end result for the animal and their humans, is so joyful

We challenge you to make your own journey.

Your journey will symbolise the journeys that our Rescue animals make

Whats the Challenge?

Wales has a magnificent coastline which has over 900 miles of Coast Path. Wales also has some amazing mountain and hill walks Pen y Fan, Snowdonia, Rhigos, Bwlch to name but a few.

We challenge you to walk a minimum 5 mile section of the Coast Path, or to walk to the summit of one of our mountain peaks.

You might live near the coast and can access your favourite section of coast path; you might be going on holiday to the coast and can access the Coast Path there. You might prefer to walk up Pen y Fan - its entirely up to you

You can choose to physically walk the Challenge and get out into our beautiful Welsh National Parks, or opt to complete the challenge virtually. If you opt to complete the Challenge virtually, we will allocate you a section of the Coast Path to complete. You can hop, skip, cycle, ride a pony or even ride a unicycle as you complete your virtual Challenge. Ideally we would like to get the entire Coast Path completed raising money and smiles throughout the month of May

Wed like to see a Selfie of you starting your challenge and a Selfie of you finishing your Challenge (with a big smile ). We hope to getas many of the Miles of Smiles Selfies featured on our website throughout the Summer.
