Story
My name is Nora. I'm an Outreach worker with Cork Simon and I need your help to to raise 20,000 euro to buy PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for our staff and volunteers so we can continue to protect people who are homeless in Cork from coronavirus.
They're vulnerable. They have no home. And right now, during lockdown, they can't even access a bathroom to wash their hands - the most basic, essential way to protect yourself from catching coronavirus.
Every day, we bring flasks of hot tea and coffee, and food. We make sure no one feels alone.
We wear masks and gloves, and provide hand sanitiser to help people who are homeless to stay safe.
To do our job, and to keep everyone safe, we need PPE.
Please give as generously as you can to help buy essential PPE. Your kind gift will ensure we're able to continue going out offering practical and emotional support to people who are on the streets during this global pandemic.
10 euro pays for 6 face masks
20 euro pays for 3 boxes of protective gloves
30 euro pays for a plastic face shield for high risk situations
50 euro pays for a supply of hand sanitiser
100 euro pays for 60 face masks
Every euro makes a difference and helps protect someone who is struggling right now.
It is a desperate time for people who are homeless in Cork. We need PPE to keep supporting them safely.
They are someone's brother or sister, someone's parent, someone's child. And if it weren't for us, the people who work and volunteer and donate to Cork Simon, they would be facing this pandemic alone.
