All G4V lessons and guitars are provided to Veterans free of charge. Demand for our project continues to rise and though virtually all resources go directly into the project and guitars, we sadly cannot help every qualified applicant because funding is limited. So, were asking you to take a stand, step in, and help change a life.

If cash is not your thing then Guitars for Vets regularly accepts donations of acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars, effects pedals and amplifiers, and drums and cymbals.

Donations of musical equipment are typically re-deployed to our chapters around the country or sold via e-commerce platforms to fund purchases of guitars and accessories for Veterans in our program. If you have anything around the house collecting dust and would like it to do some good then please contact us for a delivery information at

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A VOLUNTEER WITH GUITARS FOR VETS.

There are several ways to volunteer for Guitars for Vets including becoming an Instructor at an existing chapter or assisting the organisation with fundraising and awareness events.

Before considering volunteer opportunities, please note that:

volunteers are non-compensated

volunteers must be at least 18 years old

volunteers must complete a G4V application and provide an official photo ID

volunteers must submit to and pass a background check (at no cost to the volunteer)

volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation
