Last year Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service raised over £22,000 to make an impact for local cancer patients through their Bed Push Challenge, in 2019 their support continues with fundraising for our Scanner Appeal.
Firefighters Steve Maginn, Michael Ellmore, Russell Parker and Matt Armstrong will be taking on the Street Velodrome Challenge on 12th July to raise as much money as possible to make a difference for local patients with cancer and other conditions.
The funds raised will help to fund new imaging technology which will help to save and transform lives through faster diagnosis, and Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service will be grateful for every donation in support of their challenge.
The incredible 2018 Bed Push Challenge funded new equipment to help diagnose the increasing number of local people who have symptoms of prostate cancer, bladder cancer or other urological cancers. The equipment includes new blood pressure machines and examination couches which will help medical teams to see local people with symptoms of cancer at the earliest possible stage.
