This Christmas, hundreds of children, many of our long term elderly patients and over 7,000 wonderful NHS frontline staff, will be spending the holiday season in our hospitals, instead of at home with their families.

That's why My Charity University Hospitals Sussex is asking for your help to bring a moment of magic. Your generosity can transform a difficult day into one filled with a little Christmas magic, showing all of them that they haven't been forgotten.

For four-year-old Lily, who was admitted two days before Christmas last year, a simple gift of a teddy changed everything.

Her parents, Sarah and Tom, recall how the present, bought through donations just like yours, stopped her crying and gave her a much-needed "real Christmas gift". This "little ray of hope" helped Lily start smiling again and provided her exhausted parents with an emotional lift.
