These ever-changing, challenging and uncertain times are impacting all of us. As prices rise we are all feeling the pinch but those already in poverty are being hit hardest.
Do you know that one in five children live in poverty in the North East and we have some of the most deprived areas in the UK. With the cost of living rising, more and more people are falling into food, fuel and digital poverty across the region.
Using the power of football, we can make a difference and the Foundation of Light matters to our communities now more than ever before.
Were aiming to raise £30,000 to help those who need it most, across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham access support they need. Whether it's learning to cook healthy meals on a budget, food parcels, access to IT or support to get back into work, your donation will make a difference.
Just £5 will help a family learn how to cook a meal on a budget. £25 will provide a socially isolated older person with telephone befriending, activities and food parcels, whilst £250 will provide 25 children who are normally in receipt of free school meals with a meal and sports learning activities during the school holidays.
