Story

The Royal College of Surgeons of England belongs to a worldwide community of surgeons and surgical teams all looking after our own local patient communities.

Together we are ever striving to improve, learn, share and build because our patients are the beginning and end of everything we do.

This is why we are launching a five year strategic focus on Global Access to Paediatric surgery (GAPS), and our priority is summed up in one word: training. With your support, we can help provide hands-on experience of the vast range of orthopaedic conditions that are seen in the hospital every week. The training program plays an important part in strengthening the health system by allowing them to interact with, invest in and show doctors the endless possibilities of paediatric orthopaedics.

Please consider making a donation to our Global Appeal to ensure we reach our target of £10,000. No gift is too small. As an example, every £3,000 will fund a place for one local surgeon on a six month residential paediatric musculoskeletal tumours course through our network partners in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

This and many more successes are possible with your support.
