Story

They made it through the night!! Thanks so much to this great team. Please keep donating - every single £1 will make a difference.

To raise much needed funds for Oak Tree Animals' Charity, an amazing team from HSBC UK have chosen to spend a night in our kennels. They will be equipped with basic bedding, a torch and will undergo a series of enrichment challenges. They will also be fed and watered.

The Team of five explains why they are choosing to take part in this challenge for Oak Tree:

Erin:

I am participating in the doghouse challenge after volunteering at Oak Tree a few times and seeing all the amazing work they do. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals, especially dogs, but Oak Tree are more than an animal charity, the work they do stretches right in to the community. I am looking forward to the challenge and to raise funds for such an amazing organisation, my bag may need checked for pups on the way home!

Bev:

I'm taking part in the Dog House Challenge for Oak Tree. As a long time dog owner I understand how important having a dog is to people and really applaud those who look after those pets when their owners can no longer do so. They provide such a wonderful service for the community and help those who can't help themselves!

Rachel:

I'm Rachel Miller, Local Director for the branches in Cumbria. Anyone that knows me will tell you animals have always played a huge part in my life, our home is not home without an extended family of furry friends. The door is always open to anyone needing help or shelter. I'm delighted to be supporting Oak Tree. This incredible charity supports many lives in our community by bringing warmth and support to those who need it, shelter for animals in need of care and smiles and love to all those who visit this facility. Sadly at times people and animals find themselves in situations through no fault of their own where they become vulnerable, alone and in need of care and support. I can only imagine what an incredibly frightening and devastating experience this must be. I'm embracing the Dog House challenge as an opportunity to raise awareness of the great work Oak Tree undertake in Carlisle and to spend a night experiencing 12 hours behind bars :)

Lynsey:

I am taking part in the Dog House challenge as want to raise awareness and support Oak Tree with the amazing work that they do in the community. For me this will be something really different as I love my home comforts! I am looking forward to the challenge and hope to raise much needed funds for Oak Tree to enable them to continue the great work that they are doing.

Mike:

My Lab with a Winston Churchill cigar pose. I am looking forward to the challenge and raising awareness and funds for Oak Tree.

Please sponsor Team HSBC UK - Erin, Bev, Rachel, Lynsey and Mike - if you can! Every single £1 raised in support of this challenge will be appreciated by this amazing team, as well as everyone at the charity - both two and four-legged. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to help the animals at Oak Tree so please press the 'donate' button now :)
