Hook Schools Community Association is a registered charity, which exists to raise money for both the Hook Schools in order to enhance the children's environment and learning. We also try to foster social contact between parents and Hook residents and reinforce the key roles of the schools in our village. As a parent of a child at either Hook Infant or Hook Junior School, you are automatically a member of the HSPA.

Story

The Village Connect Trail, first devised last year as a post COVID opportunity for our communities to get out in the fresh air and raise money through sponsorship, has been revised and improved this year in line with the feedback we received from last year's participants. It is a mostly rural, circular route, about 15.4 miles in length connecting Hartley Wintney, Hook and Odiham, with three additional shorter 5 mile circular routes, one for each of the three main villages, and each one connecting to other villages not covered by the main route. Walkers will choose their preferred route. This year participants' sponsorships will raise money for the Hook schools.

This year we have included a Walk Spotting Checklist of things to spot as you go along as we thought that this might appeal to any younger children taking part.

The Hook & Odiham Lions Club have organised this event with the help and cooperation of other Village Connect partners. The event will take place between 9.00am-5.00pm on 24th and 25th September 2022, starting at one of the three Lions / Rotary registration gazebos in Hartley Wintney (The Green - adjacent to the duck pond), Hook (St John's Church) or Odiham (High Street) on a route and at a time of your choosing.
