Like many sports clubs around Britain, we are reliant on a few sources of income to run the club. The likely suspension of cricket for the whole or majority of the summer is putting the cricket club in a very difficult place financially. There is a real danger of Horsley and Send Cricket club folding before the 2021 season. I appreciate these are difficult times for everybody, but Horsley & Send CC is a historically important community sports facility serving a large area around West Horsley, with a membership of approximately 300. We are therefore starting a funding drive with a target of £26,000 to help the club to continue supporting the community through cricket in the future.
