Emergency supplies needed urgently - Nova Kakhovka

We are UK based charity In Place of War. We are raising funds to support Nova Kakhovka - a small town in South Ukraine that the Russian army has occupied in the first days of the war. It hosts a large hydroelectric power plant infrastructure considered of crucial importance by the invading forces.

At this moment, residents of the city are entirely blocked from the outside world and are running out of vital medicines, food and other supplies of immediate importance. They spend most of their time in underground facilities. Local volunteers are taking care of the most urgent cases such as people with serious diseases needing immediate medical assistance and lobbying for the opening of 'green corridors' - so that citizens can reach neighbouring cities to receive humanitarian assistance or purchase goods. However, resources are extremely limited - both human and financial.

We can make a huge difference by donating money for volunteers to purchase supplies and distribute them until the basic connection with the outside world is re-established.
