Over the past 2 years there have been many struggles for people. Our charity is small but in the past year alone we have supported 203 people during crisis and 36 animals. Now we are asking for support in these difficult times to continue to make a difference in the lives of those that need us the most. The animals we care for are at the heart of everything we do, without them our service just wouldn't be the same, our service would not have this kind of impact.
"A safe haven for those in need.
Reanimate was introduced to us by an educational psychologist for my child who has experienced significant trauma. The fact that a place like this exists provides me with so much hope to begin with. Then the fact my child is able to cuddle, chat and just be with animals without any expectations has been miraculous. With weekly visits they have been able to find commonality with animals who have also faced trauma and seeing them mirroring the animals needs with their own is breath-taking. The empathy and compassion they show the animals is teaching them self-empathy and self-compassion and increasing their inner strength, resilience and self-esteem with every visit. I worry about this opportunity with mentoring through animals ending for my child, as the benefits are clear to see on their well-being and mental health. The animals and staff have created a welcoming outdoor environment in the middle of nature and wildlife that provides a comforting safe haven. An essential service for those who are living with trauma."
We are asking for support to ensure the animals get their needs met and can continue with this extremely important work for our children and adults who are going to struggle even more with the current crisis.
