Please join us on Zoom on Friday, 13 May at 1900 to 2100 for the IMET2000 Annual Gala Event, our most important fundraising event of the year. We are determined as usual to provide a fun, uplifting and inspirational evening as counterpunch to these difficult times. The programme is now complete with top comedians (including Mark Thomas and friends), conversations with Professor Nick Lane (world authority on the very beginnings of life on this planet), Baroness Helena Kennedy about MAP, as well as wonderful young musicians from the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music (Ramallah and Gaza). You will also hear from child victims of war and frontline workers talking from Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan about their urgent needs.

We will be raising funds for five main programmes: (a) advanced training of Neurosurgeons in both the West Bank and Gaza; (b) essential equipment for our IMET2000 Trauma Unit in Ramallah and the Advanced Trauma and Life Support (ATLS) and the Basic Life Support courses we run out of there; (c) a comprehensive programme of treatment for child mental health including art and music therapy which IMET20000 runs; (d) purchase of a much needed new ambulance for the Jenin region; and (e) medical and child refugee aid for our IMET2000 colleagues in Ukraine.
