Health Poverty Action is working with communities around the world in response to the coronavirus pandemic. We're on the front lines testing at borders, providing medical equipment and supplies, and ensuring the most marginalised communities know how to protect themselves against the virus.
Support us and take part in a Isolation Marathon from your own home by following these 3 simple steps:
Here are some examples to get you started:
(a) Movie marathon: Fancy a duvet day? Challenge yourself to watch all of the Lord of The Rings in one sitting (9 hours).
(b) Fitness marathon: Itching to stay active? Blast your power playlist and climb the equivalent of Ben Nevis up and down your staircase - that's 8,810 steps!
(b) Creative marathon: On average it takes 4 and a half hours to run a marathon. Why not do an activity continuously for this amount of time? Knit, bake, sing - the options are endless!
Start by clicking the 'Start Fundraising' button on this page (JustGiving). Once you're set up ask your friends and family to sponsor your marathon! We will support you with fundraising ideas up until the big day.
Share your challenge by tagging photos and videos with #isolationmarathon. We'll share your posts so people can virtually cheer you on, wherever they are in the world! If your feeling brave: live stream your marathon on Instagram, Facebook or Zoom too!
