Story

Christmas 2020 has seen an Advent Windows project for all 3 parishes in The Ivers. Businesses (and some private residents) of the local parishes have been lighting up their own decorated window(s) on a given day in the lead up to Christmas and lasting through till Twelfth Night. This year's donations will be going to families with nursery school children aged 2-3 years and those who are noted as receiving Pupil Premium for support. The monies raised will be designated to be sent as vouchers to those families within The Ivers parishes who are are struggling, to help give them a brighter New Year period.

We have received magnificent support from private members of the communities, businesses run within The Ivers and those who have been so unselfish as to run their own charity fundraisers so that this project can benefit. Because donations are still coming in, it has been decided to wait until January to distribute the vouchers so that the recipients can have a great start to a brand new year.

The Ivers Good Neighbour Scheme was set up to provide a much needed service to the Iver Heath, Iver & Richings Park villages. We offer transport to members of our community who may struggle to get to their local GP surgeries and hospital appointments; along with trips that give our clients a chance to socialise locally. Since the pandemic we have adapted our scheme to offer a number of other services to benefit the Iver Heath, Iver and Richings Park community.
