The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, encouraged us to bury the deceased as soon as possible. For many within our community, it may be difficult to observe this tradition due to financial constraints or the rapidly increasing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. We are asking you to help us relieve the burden of Muslim families within our community. The total cost of an Islamic burial is £3,200.

This includes:

* Removal of the deceased

* Transport to a funeral home/Cambridge Central Mosque

* Washing and shrouding of the deceased

* Transport to the cemetery

* Purchase of the burial plot

Islam calls upon its followers to reach out with open hands, and give in charity as a way of life.

Keep up the prayer and pay the prescribed alms. Whatever good you store up for yourselves, you will find it with God: He sees everything you do [Holy Qur'an, 2:110].
