Story

Will you join us in a Jeans for Jean's House Day?

Your event can take place anytime and all your need to do it is set up a fundraising page from this page and suggest people make a £2 donation to wear jeans for the day!

Jean's House offers free accommodation for families to stay close to their child when they're having cancer treatment. It's close by to Southampton General Hospital. Southampton has a huge catchment area from the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex, parts of Wiltshire, Surrey and Berkshire. Families are welcome to stay for free for as long as they need to so they can be close by to their child.

It costs £38 for a family to stay one night in Jean's House, so every penny you raise will go a long way in supporting families facing cancer.

Jean's House has everything you could ever wish for and more and it really does feel like a home away from home. It meant Aleesha's sisters and step dad could stay with me at weekends and over Christmas we all got to spend the day together as a family in the home. - Emma, mum of Aleesha diagnosed with leukaemia aged 13.

This winter, children, young people and families facing cancer are in desperate need of immediate financial help. As well as our new Crisis Fund , Jean's House is one of the ways that we help families who are struggling with rising cancer costs amid the cost-of-living crisis across the UK.
