LINDAS LEGACY

A tragic story about a sweet little dog LINDA!

Linda lived in a village not too far from the shelter, with a very elderly lady who herself was in need of care. Linda was not spayed and the local government had not fulfilled its obligations to spay and neuter the local street dog population.

Linda was a sweet little soul; she was on heat and was attacked at night on her own doorstep by some un-neutered male dogs who were fighting over her. A friend who visited the lady and Linda from time to time found her lying in a pool of blood.

The local vet couldnt do much for Linda as rural facilities are basic. Eventually a Facebook appeal for help resulted in Linda being admitted to a veterinary clinic in Cluj.

Sadly, Linda died that same evening.

This campaign is focussed on helping very poor people in Romania to get their dogs spayed and neutered to prevent unwanted puppies and also tragedies like this occurring. We need to create a fund for a team in Romania who are already working at a local level to provide spaying and neutering campaigns. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Complaints have been made to the police and the mayor because the local government is responsible for spaying and neutering but apparently, they have done nothing!

PLEASE help us to support this MUCH NEEDED campaign to help the poor people and their dogs by digging deep to increase the funds.
