Story

Strokeinformation 1166424 is a registered charity which was set up in 2014 after my own severe stroke in 2012. Our aim is not only to provide information and support to those impacted by stroke but offer guidance on benefits and blue badges etc but to also get the stroke survivor feeling worthy and art of something once more.

John became aware of StrokeInformation a registered charity that helps others impacted by Stroke. Not only is John a regular member of the drop in and WhatsApp group he has also found employment as a match day steward at Stockport County FC. John has a passion for football and has adopted Stockport County as his team from the North, he is a firm believer of not giving up and with his positive mental attitude will inspire others and empower them to also reach out to StrokeInformation. It gives us great pleasure to announce our main shirt sponsors for both the London Marathon and the Manchester Half Marathon which are a week apart will be Ecovery and Byrne Civil Solutions

Ecovery an organisation that Eric Phillips is involved with, Eric himself had a stroke and has sought great comfort from StrokeInformation and their support group which has lots of Stroke survivors enlisted all over the UK of all ages to provide that unique bond that no one else can offer. Eric said on sponsoring the shirt "It is an absolute honour to support StrokeInformations great work"

The Manchester Half Marathon, which is a week later has its own dedicated page here and is being run by Paula Byrne and Ali Sproson both of whom have been impacted by Stroke, Paula's sister in law, Helen is a stroke survivor and the family needed that much needed support and information which cant really be truly offered unless the person has been impacted directly and that is why StrokeInformation is ideally placed as everyone involved with the charity has been impacted by Stroke. Ali is running to raise awareness and funds for StrokeInformation. Anyone can suffer a stroke anytime, and unfortunately back in January 2021, Mike Didlick, who was the Bar Manager at The Moor Club suffered a stroke, this came as a complete shock to Mike's family, friends and The Moor Club community. The stroke meant that Mike was unable to return to his job at the club and is still trying to recover from the devastating impact that the stroke unexpectedly made to his life. StrokeInformation is a charity that helps to support stroke survivors and their families. Both organisations are sponsoring the charity to raise as much awareness as possible so if you can share far and wide we will be able to reach more people impacted by Stroke, like another one of StrokeInformations success stories, Alan form the midlands who was given just 24 hours to live last August. This August he was out with his wife having a nice mean in a restaurant which really embodies what StrokeInformation offers......HOPE real HOPE

Please help us help others impacted by Stroke.
