Marie Curie Fundraising Group South Belfast are a local community group dedicated to raising money and awareness of Marie Curie.
The South Belfast Fundraising group was formed in November 2013 and to date we have raised over £120,000. Marie Curie is a cause close to each of us in the group so we strive to do as much as possible to support the charity. As a group we like to put the 'fun' into fundraising by organising various events including our annual pub quiz, luxury shopping trips and tea parties on top of The Great Daffodil Appeal and our local street collections. We raise awareness in the local community by visiting schools and church groups to promote the charity, encouraging young people especially to get involved.
Since 2011, Marie Curie has set up Fundraising Groups across the UK to help raise money and awareness for the charity in their local area. They are a vital part of the Marie Curie family, raising a fantastic amount each year to help ensure we can keep supporting people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones. This is through our wide range of services including hospices, nursing, Information and Support services and research.
