Life for millions across Turkey and Syria changed forever as two consecutive earthquakes sent shockwaves across hundreds of miles.

Over 24 thousand people in Turkey and Syria have died with the death toll expected to rise. Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed leaving survivors facing freezing conditions, terrible storms and strong winds which is impeding the rescue efforts.
