Story
We are fundraising for a New Vocational Kitchen to be ready for September 2019.
Nightingale Community Academy (NCA), based in Wandsworth, is a school for approx. 100 boys aged between 5 and 19 who have social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
We are excited about our new vocational kitchen as it will prepare our pupils to have a greater chance of success in the expanding hospitality and catering sector. Our new vocational kitchen will be purpose built to a professional standard and will meet the needs of both SEMH pupils and other pupils with learning and physical difficulties in the wider community.
We already have a strong vocational offer including a farm and kitchen garden, mechanical workshop, construction workshop and hairdressing salon. Our vocational kitchen will build on this offer and allow us to deliver accredited catering courses as well as developing our pupils business skills by providing a catering service to local organisations.
How you can help us?
The cost of our new kitchen is approx. £120K. You can help our pupils by making a donation or set up a sponsored event or adopting us as your charity of the year.
