Story
Staff from Naylor Powell are getting their running shoes on and pounding the streets of Cardiff in October and are running the Cardiff Half Marathon on behalf of YG.
Naylor Powell have chosen to support YG as they are neighbours in Gloucester Docks and staff can see all the hard work YG do to help change the lives of young people within the County.
YG works with disadvantaged young people across the County. They support young people with poor mental-health, who are unemployed, have been excluded from school, have drug and alcohol issues, who live in chaotic households or those who are simply lost and don't know where to turn.
Finlay left school at 16. He has a visual impairment and only partial sight. He was made redundant during CV19 and has been unemployed since.
Working with YG has given me a real shift in my mentality, I feel like I have more clarity now. YG made me realise that for every door you open it can lead to so many more opportunities. You never know where something might take you. You just have to be willing to move forward and open the next door. Working with YG has helped me feel more open to opportunities.
