We've all had a taste of loneliness and social isolation this year. But for our clients, this has sadly become the 'norm'. At Omega we want to offer meaningful companionship, regular, friendly conversation and support to those who are struggling with a demanding caregiving role, those who find it hard to leave the house because of life-limiting illness, people who are trying to adjust to a new phase of life after losing a loved one and those who are nearing the end of their lives.

We have a small team and an 'army' of incredible volunteers who are delivering befriending and group support. For the majority of this year we have had to adapt away from in-person activities and are working very hard to ensure that our clients always have someone they can talk to, and who will listen. Your donation will help us to keep our vital services running during this difficult and uncertain time, providing safe and effective support to those in real need over the Christmas period and into 2021.

We offer:

Chatterbox Action Against Loneliness Programme: weekly telephone befriending which offers emotional support, conversation and companionship, as well as help with things such as securing veterinary care or food deliveries where a client has no friends, family or neighbours to help.

A Letter from Louise: a regular pen pal befriending service for friendly letters and the sharing of stories.

Virtual Coffee Mornings: although we can't yet meet again in person, online coffee mornings still allow people to chat and see a friendly face.
