We are running the Torbay half marathon on 12th September and have chosen to fundraise for Forde Park Community Project. Su and Marie have both worked at the Community Health and Social Care Team in Newton Abbot for the last few years and have seen first-hand what a valuable community resource the café is in promoting the independence of people with a learning disability and providing them with opportunities for work experience and employment. We have seen what a difference the café can make to the lives of the people who volunteer there and therefore chose this as our charity to support. We are both passionate about supporting the local community and love the ethos of what the café is promoting for the local population.
