The Oxford-León Association & Trust works to raise funds for projects in León, Oxford’s twin town in Nicaragua. Support is given to small community projects aimed at improving health, education and income generation.

Story

When the hurricanes destroyed the crops of the small farmers around the Telica volcano, Nuevas Epseran established 5 new apiaries, a new dragon fruit family farm, and follow up and materials have been provided to existing family farms. In addition, a new small extension has been installed in San Pedro Nuevo water system, to benefit a few families from a neighbouring hamlet and food supplies have been delivered. NECAT has been helping 30 families in Sutiaba, a poor area of Leon, educating the children and providing food supplies and supporting parents and OLAT has helped in developing links with Pegasus school in Oxford..
