Story
We understand the importance of art to our community, particularly in challenging times, when it is more difficult to be together. After a year of virtual performances, #PFTLightHopeJoy and the Telephone Club for our isolated community, PFT was the first theatre in Scotland to welcome back audiences on 29 May this year.
All our performances were staged in a safe space, outside in the Explorers' Garden in our brand new amphitheatre and on our bandstand and pirate ship on the lawn rolling down to the River Tummel. However, with Covid restrictions our visitor numbers plummeted from our usual 100,000 to just 20,000 in 2021.
This #GivingTuesday and throughout December we would love you to join us in raising money for PFT.
We have lots of ways you can get involved; maybe hold a Bake Sale, (we are holding ours on #GivingTuesday on 30 November), or you could bid in the auction to own a stunning costume from the Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. We will be auctioning off scripts of plays staged at PFT, and asking for a donation so your children can get involved in our film festival based on the Build your own Theatre from last Christmas.
With Christmas fast approaching, why not buy a Theatre Membership or a Gift Voucher, or a bag of amazing, wardrobe material samples. All of these ways, will support us to keep creating, inspiring, nurturing and exploring and most importantly sharing this with you, our PFT family.
Keep an eye on our social media pages to find out how to get involved and help support your Theatre in the Hills!
