Story
As you know, we have been partners of Shooting Star Chase Children's Hospice for over a decade, and as well as raising funds throughout the year, we normally hold a Christmas Toy Appeal for the children. However, this year we are doing things are a little differently.
For most of us, Christmas is a joyous occasion of spending time with friends and family; sharing gifts and celebrating, laughing and singing, eating and drinking, and resting before we take the plunge into the New Year.
But for many families, such as those supported by the Hospice, this is not their reality. For some it may be the first Christmas since their child died. For others they know it will be the last they will spend together.
The Hospice is in desperate need of funding for key equipment such as Portable Oxygen machines. These allow the children the freedom to play with their friends and family, or travel home safely, so get the chance to enjoy Christmas along with everyone else.
Its our mission at The Paul Strank Charitable Trust to buy as many Portable Oxygen Machines as we can.
We need your help to ensure that children with life-limiting conditions get the support they so desperately need this Christmas and their families have the chance to make every precious last moment count.
These machines cost £2,700 each, and the Hospice need a constant supply as they are caring for unprecedented numbers of children this Christmas.
Any contributions to our Appeal will be gratefully received. Merry Christmas, and God Bless.
