Hi everyone, thank you for visiting our JustGiving page.
As many of you will know, I have worked at Pace for 13 years now and every day I see how vital our work is to families affected by child exploitation across the country. Sadly, in the last year, we have seen an increase in the number of families needing our support to keep their children safe, as the pandemic has created more opportunities for offenders to groom children online and in the community.
When I think of what Pace means to me, I think of the many families we have worked alongside, who are fighting for their children to be seen and protected, and Pace working with these families to make this happen.
During our walk, we will add a rock each mile that represents one of the many burdens families experience on their journey of child exploitation, including struggling with their own feelings of guilt, shame and blame.
Without the help and support from pace, I would not be here, its that simple. The fear was immense, there was no way I could see beyond the worst possible outcome. My Pace worker sorted everything. I could see light at the end of the tunnel. I was suicidal, without her help I would not be here
I wanted to challenge myself, to be able to do something that is outside of my comfort zone to help raise awareness for Pace and what parents go through on a daily basis.
With your kind donation, you can help provide Pace support to parents across the country and help us support even more parents who are going through the traumatic experience of witnessing their child's exploitation.
Thank you in advance for all donations, you're all so kind!
