We are a charitable organisation that has been involved with the local community since we were first established in the year 2000. Most of our work is with and for those that live in the areas surrounding our Centre. As a result, we have established a deep connection with people and value all those who use our Centre. Our organisation is completely self-funded as is this project, which is why we are asking for your help.

Our Peepul Meals project provides upto 1000 meals a week to people who are isolating and NHS workers in need free of charge. The entire project is volunteer run with members of the local community and our staff involved. Our chefs prepare fresh meals which our volunteers then pack and deliver to peoples doors. Food is extremely important to people; it not only nourishes them but can also help lift their spirits and feel a sense of comfort.

With the start of this crisis our Chairman Anil Bhanot started to give a lot of thought to these local people; there are many elderly people in the area who although they may have children or other relatives these may not live locally. How these people were going to be able to get food whilst self-isolating in order to follow government guidelines became a principal concern for him. He then came up with the idea of giving them food, as this way they would be encouraged to stay at home which in turn not only protects them but also the rest of the community and helps reduce pressure on the NHS. The importance of the NHS also played on his mind, which is why he then came up with the idea of also providing food to NHS workers in need during this difficult time.
