Story
St Mark's have, for a number of years now, been sharing through Facebook, YouTube and our website the sermons, talks, musical events, prayers and special services online. We're proud to be able to engage those who visit us, and more so for the wider audience who may not be able to meet with us in our parish church.
However, with the unusual times that we find ourselves in through the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lock down, we've actually found that - through streaming a service live - we've been able to not only continue reaching the majority of our congregation, but picking up new members from around the world too!
We realise that live streaming is an important outreach for St Mark's but that the technology we have at present to do so is limited and privately owned by members of our congregation: we are currently constrained by the technology we have. We'd love to be offering better live memorial services for friends and family (in this season where only very limited numbers of close family can attend funerals).
Please help us to better be able to serve the whole community of Pennington. Please help us to purchase a camera that will allow us to do this better, but will also be suitable for when we can use the building to allow us to better livestream from the church too, to continue to offer and develop this work into the future.
See how we've been streaming services during the Covid-19 pandemic here!
