Fundraising Objectives:
Objective 1: This project aims to either renovate or build a masjid/education facility for the people of Goi which is cost effective and made in agreement with the local community.
Cost approximately £10,000 to build.
This will be the second charity project superseding Mission Kashmir (Water Project for Kashmir). Currently, there masjid is small, in poor condition and is in the direct line of fire within the line of control. Yet this Masjid accommodates hundreds of villagers (Congregational prayers) and students (learning to become Quran-E-Hifz) for their needs.
Objective 2: This project aims to raise funds to improve the quality of life for the Orphans learning and residing at Alubadia Orphanage and Education Centre. Once the first objective is hit, the remaining proceeds from the event shall be allocated to this objective.
Alubadia Orphanage and Education Centre provides a safe learning environment for over 300 students. It also provides accommodation for over 100 orphan children. Two thirds of the students are boys and one third are girls. Majority of the Orphans that attend the facility are those who come from the Tribal areas of Pakistan have suffered as a result of the War in Afghanistan and the constant Drone Attacks.
This facility provides basic education in literacy, science, maths and Islam. It also provides accommodation for Orphans who have no family and need somewhere to stay safe.
Throughout the years, this Orphanage has been kept a float from only a handful of private donors. However due to the increasing number of Orphans attending the facility, the demands have outgrown the donor income. As a result there are a number of issues the facility faces such as:
1. Orphan Children living at the facility each night sleep on the concrete floor due to lack of Beds/Mattress.
2. Food support package providing the children with meals. Currently Alubadia Orphanage can only afford to provide them with 2 meals a day.
3. Structural changes to improve the efficiency of the Facility. Currently, there is a lot of wind and draught that can be felt by the Orphans.
4. Books/Computer facilities used to help support their learning and education.
This fundraising project seeks to improve the quality of life for the children. Some of the initiatives which this fundraiser could be used to support based on the immediate priority of the Orphanage:
A. Beds/Mattresses for Students living at the Orphanage and Education Centre.
B. Food Support package to provide sustained warm meals for Orphan children that attend the facility.
C. Renovation fund to improve the facility to ensure it remains a comfortable and safe environment for the Orphan children.
D. Education improvement to facilitate the learning and growth of each of the Orphan children.
We urgently ask everyone to come forward and support our initiative. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
