Story
The COVID-19 situation in London is the most serious it has ever been. Our NHS services are now close to breaking point, as the current surge in cases threatens to overwhelm London hospitals.
While everyone is already doing their bit to protect the NHS by staying at home, we need to support the incredible efforts of our local NHS workers, and other frontline health and social care workers, which is why we are launching Project Hope, a joint initiative between the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and CACT, to support the wellbeing of our NHS staff and patients with your help.
Help us support staff who are working long hours, under intense physical and emotionally demanding circumstances, with many unable to go home because they need to protect their own family and friends from catching the virus.
Your donations will help us provide:
Food and refreshments, individually wrapped food items and snacks.
Toiletries for when staff are taking a break, we would like to be able to offer them some comfort items to make them feel valued and allow them to carry out some much-needed self-care. .
Accommodation for staff who are unable to go home would really benefit from a safe, clean room in which to recuperate between shifts.
You can donate items by contacting us on:
Telephone: 0800 470 4831
Email: projecthope@cact.org.uk
If we raise more than we need to spend on the above items, the additional funds will be spent on other support projects for frontline workers.
