Story

A Cambridge engineering graduate, Dave retrained as an accountant and completed a distance learning MBA with the University of Warwick. But, at heart he was always a creative.

In recent years Dave entertained and informed many through his blog @quietmandave and he was a keen amateur theatre critic. He performed poetry at open mike sessions in Manchester and loved flash fiction. He embraced writing relatively late in life but he did so with a passion and his work was regularly published.

Writers can struggle financially and often fail to get the exposure they deserve. This prize will seek to promote new writers and celebrate their work. We hope it will run for many years to come and we can think of few more fitting testimonials to his life.

Donations will help establish this prize and ensure its future for years to come.
