Story
REDDITCH LIONS started their walks for charities in 2014 following a suggestion by then Lion Phil Barton. We started off walking 2.5 K for the NHS Alexandra Hospital Charity Appeal raising funds for a new robotic surgical instrument to do tricky operations like Prostate Surgery. It was called RORY THE ROBOT. In 2015 -18 we continued on with the themed Prostrate UK & Local Hospital NHS charities but switched our walk date to HALLOWEEN so the children of all ages could dress up. We raised many thousands of £s at these events. Following on from that we expanded our PROSTATE CANCER UK focus to setting up FREE BLOOD TESTING CLINICS for PSA testing of men. This too was very successful in 2018 & 2019. We were forced to shut down all fund raising in 2020 & 2021. This year in the spring of 2022, we switched to the BLF - BRITISH LUNG FOUNDATION TO RAISE AWARENESS TO BREATHING DISORDERS. We hope to be very successful with your assistance and your participation in the walking / running 2.5 - 5.0 K around the beautiful Arrow Valley Lakeside. PLEASE SUPPORT US ANY WAY YOU CAN.
