Visit the charity's profileRSPCA Birmingham Animal Hospital is situated in 72 acres of glorious countryside in Frankley. Our flagship centre significantly improves the environment for animals in our care. The state of the art hospital cares for up to 150 animals and our dedication and commitment to animal welfare. Our hospital facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, a prep room that is the centre for all the A & E emergencies that come into our hospital.Operating theatres; six wards for dogs, cats and an isolation unit for seriously ill patients.
We care for ill and injured animals from all over the West Midlands. Our Inspectors and the animals that they rescue are our priority, 86% of our in-patient work is for these animals; they need our specialist care to help them recover from their injuries or illness.
The running cost of the hospital alone is £1.5 million per annum! The hospital employees 35 staff, veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses who work 24 hours a day 365 days caring for those animals that have been rescued from harm and cruelty.
