Story

The Rainforest Ward at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital are appealing to the public to help raise £5,000 for the refurbishment of the much-loved outdoor play area.

Being admitted to hospital can be a frightening experience for children but seeing a fully equipped, bright, colourful play area with toys can make such a positive difference to their hospital experience.

Your donations will help The Health Tree Foundation to buy outdoor play equipment such as a slide, climbing frame, giant Jenga, Connect4, hopscotch and maybe even a sensory wall. Your donations will also go towards brand new rubber flooring for the play are to ensure the children's safety.

Being able to play outside in the sunshine with their parents, siblings and other patients is great for the children and acts as a form of escapism from what is normally a very worrying situation for the family.
