Since the news broke of Raleigh Internationals closure, an overwhelming amount of messages have been received from across the global Raleigh community expressing a strong desire to fund the future of Raleigh and keep the Raleigh spirit alive.

Many of you will remember fondly your Raleigh experience. The friends you made, the type 2 fun you lived through, the mud, the heat, the Beanfeast, the new-found skills and confidence you developed, the opening of our eyes to big global issues, and most of all the feeling of satisfaction when you worked together as a team to achieve something positive.

It doesnt matter whether you volunteered with Raleigh on Zebu, during Op Raleigh days, the Prince William era when Raleigh was a youth development charity, the sustainable development charity phase, or even more recently when Raleigh delivered great impact as a global youth action organisation via the Action Not Excuses campaign. No matter which phase of Raleigh history you were involved with, the Raleigh DNA has always been the same young people working hand-in-hand to bring about positive, sustainable change, both in the world and in themselves.

Now more than ever the world needs young people to lead from the front. Its clear that globally there has been an outpouring of the Raleigh blues but we are here to offer you the chance to make sure Raleigh lives on.

By donating via this JustGiving page you will be supporting Raleigh Costa Rica and Raleigh Tanzania to deliver their future programmes such as building indigenous schools, bringing sanitation and hygiene to rural communities, training young people to start green enterprises, and protecting precious natural habitats.

The first £50k raised on this page will specifically help Raleigh Costa Rica deliver its first Expedition programmes this summer. After that, all funds raised will be split equally between the Raleigh Costa Rica and Raleigh Tanzania offices.
