Every year, disabled and disadvantaged adults, children and young people are given the opportunity to go on a Rivertime boat outing on the Thames and to develop a long term, holistic involvement with the river and accessible water sports in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment.
This year, like many charities, we have had to suspend all operations, outings and events. Your donations will help river trips, activities and learning to take place in 2021.
The River Thames stretches 346km West to East across the southern part of the U.K. Flanked by meadows, tributaries and farms, the early part of the river meanders tightly with fast flowing water, only navigable by small craft. Further down, the river opens up into wide stretches of water, defined by locks and weirs and ultimately becomes built up and industrial as you begin to get closer to London. There is a joy that only time on the river can show you, but this is often restricted to those with agility, fitness and the means to travel on the water.
We are paddling 220km of the non tidal Thames to raise money for The Rivertime Boat Trust and HUGELY appreciate your support for this journey.
THANK YOU
