Update:
Following on from our extensive training, we arrived for our training day on Challenger 3, Tony and David showed us the ropes and were ably supported by volunteers John and Sophie, our team of twelve individuals quickly bonded into an effective team.
On race day we had plenty of wind, all had a go on the helm, and we came a credible third (bronze medal) in the Big Yachts Race, followed by a rather marvellous celebratory breakfast on Sunday morning. We then tidied up Challenger 3 and made ourselves presentable for our team photo before returning home after a fulfilling and rather wonderful weekend.
Thank you to everyone at Tall Ships Youth Trust for making this possible and best wishes for your future activities.
We hope you enjoy the attached Photos.
For anyone who has, or is thinking about sponsoring us, thank you, your money will be of huge benefit and will be carefully used by the Tall Ships Youth Charity.
Best wishes
Amelia, James and Robin

On Saturday 12th February we are competing in one of the Tall Ships Youth Trust iconic 72ft Challenger yachts to be the fastest out of three teams to sail around the Isle of Wight. The race starts first thing from Cowes and the route will take us past Yarmouth, around the Needles, travelling anti-clockwise past the back of the Island, leaving Ventnor, Bembridge, St Helen's Lighthouse, and Ryde to port, and finally finishing back at Cowes.
As part of this exciting challenge we have also committed to raise funds for Tall Ships Youth Trust's vital youth development work. The aim is for all teams to raise enough to enable 30 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in a transformational voyage, empowering them to 'sea beyond their horizon' and develop the skills and self-worth needed to focus on a positive future.
Please help us to raise these vital funds by donating here, via our JustGiving page.
