The Prop Appeal has been set up to help improve the experience of patients and their families during their stay at the Neuro Rehabilitation unit at Rookwood Hospital the unit is due to move to Llandough Hospital in the spring of 2021.The money raised for the appeal has been used to provide a music therapy service once a week, I pads, tobi eye gaze equipment and family days to name a few.

We decided as a Multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses and doctors, we would like to raise money for the Prop appeal and as a team complete a challenge. It will be our last Christmas at Rookwood Hospital before the move and it would be nice to finish this year with something positive and assist with wellbeing in hopefully getting fitter for Christmas.

We are going to complete the distance in miles from Rookwood Hospital to the North Pole which is 2669 miles. This will be carried out by cycling, running, swimming and walking (to name a few). We have set up a weekly run to help motivate us and we plan to update on our progress. We are starting on Friday the 20th of November 2020 aiming to finish the distance by the 20th of December 2020.
