Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland's aim is to ensure that every person with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus is empowered to lead the highest quality of life possible and live as independently as possible.
At SBH Scotland they are more than a listening ear, they offer hope beyond diagnosis
Story
Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland (SBH Scotland) believe no one in Scotland should be left alone to cope with the affects of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. AND because of individuals like you no one has to...
Thank you!
They're always in my whole familys corner. My 3 year old has spina bifida and I would have been lost without this amazing organisation
For over 50 years SBH Scotland have been the only Scottish charity with a sole remit to support those affected by the rare, complex disabilities of spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. With little statutory funding we have to raise over £1million annually so we rely on corporate support and exciting fundraising challenges like this one to reach our targets. With an anticipated loss of £400,000 this year fundraising for SBH Scotland has never been so important.
Now, more than ever, we need your help. No one could have foreseen the devastation that the Coronavirus would cause in 2020. For those already facing daily challenges, Covid-19 has brought with it additional issues and problems. We want to make sure all our babies, children, adults and families receive the support they need at one of the most isolating and stressful of times. Our individuals and families need to know they are not alone in coping - You can make that happen.
SBH Scotland have a dedicated team of support and clinical staff who offer a variety of specialist services including: a helpline, ante-natal support, intensive support at birth, school talks, family groups, health check clinics, online groups, drop-in support centre, continence clinics, online childrens dance and play sessions and home and hospital visits.
Please visit SBH Scotland for more information. We'd love to tell you more...
