SOL is a unique organisation in the way we work and the services we provide. These educational services to students and teachers of English across Central and Eastern Europe have been offered and developed over 30 years.

Our unique highly regarded cultural-based courses in Devon are not only dynamic and enjoyable but are provided at low cost because of their low average salaries. We also supply creative and innovative teacher training opportunities both at our centre in North Devon and also on the ground in CE Europe, often free.

Due to COVID-19, our financial reserves have been exhausted and we face closure for good if we cannot survive this year. Only with Government support have we been able to keep our future alive but once furloughing ends, the bounce-back loan will not be enough to see us through the year.

We are generating what income we can through on-line activities and hope that some groups may be possible to travel in the autumn, but this is out of our control. With this appeal we hope to raise enough income to be sure we can survive because 2022 does offer the chance to return to near normal as we have a large base of teachers who want to bring students.

We are asking for support to be able to continue all our good work and develop it further. It makes a real difference to so many students and teachers alike in a way that is not possible through any other organisation.
