Story
S.T.O.R.M. Family Centre charity head Marie Hanson MBE goes for broke with a charity sky dive to raise awareness and funds for her impactful work with families scarred by knife crime, domestic violence and mental health.
Confronting all of her fears head on from anxiety to fear of heights and flying, Marie is determined to #fightthefear and inspire others in overcoming their fear in whatever situation that may be, through her 1st ever sky jump - on 14 August 2022 in Kent.
More on S.T.O.R.M Family Centre:
Aiming to be that positive change in a young persons journey, S.T.O.R.M provides a much-needed community hub from running counselling sessions, teaching assistant courses, a youth club, a mums lunch club, gardening and graffiti space on Doddington Estates rooftop terrace garden, and a day nursery for local parents.
Talking about confronting fear and putting in place coping mechanisms, Maries sky dive is an urgent call for funds and sponsors to come forward and help to ensure that the charity is funded on a day-to-day basis. Over the past 15 years S.T.O.R.M have worked with over 5000 families and young people to be that vital support in times of crisis. With local and charity grants being cut in this time of financial depression, just giving has never been more important.
