Donate to renovate Scott Lodge
When the name Scott Lodge is mentioned, many thousands of boys and their parents from across decades of Boys Brigade families are reminded of fond memories of weekends spent up at the Lodge playing games in the grounds, spending quality time with friends and exploring the multitude of walks in Glen Doll. This was where most of those who attended the Lodge conquered their first Munros, scaling the great Mayar and Driesh mountains, the latter of which provides the stunning outlook from the doorstep of the Lodge.
The Dundee and Angus Battalion is privileged to have such a wonderful facility under its charge, but the Lodge is now at the stage where it requires a significant amount of work if it is to continue providing similar memorable weekends and experiences for young people in the future.
Following £30,000 worth of repairs to the exterior of the Lodge to correct extensive wood rot in 2022, which was funded out of limited Battalion funds, the Battalion is now embarking on a new project to install a disabled toilet/shower room and a small 4 bed dormitory that will be used by either female visitors or those with disabilities.
This work will cost in the region of £10,000 and it is hoped that BB members and their families, both past and present, will consider donating some money to assist the Battalion in keeping this vitally important outdoor facility in good order for young people to use in the decades ahead.
This JustGiving page has been set up in the hope that many of you who have had the Scott Lodge experience will help the Battalion with this very significant cost.
Please donate whatever you can to assist in this very important project.
We have included a link of some video footage of Scott Lodge which may bring back fond memories to some viewers
