Story
Earlier this year the club completed a floodlit walkway at Dean McGlinchey Park. This facility is available to use, free of charge, for the whole community. We cant tell you how delighted we are to see how popular the walkway has become with all generations right across the community.
The walkway will be officially opened on Friday, 24th September and to coincide with this we are launching a unique challenge in which everyone can participate.
Who are we raising funds for?
S.T.E.P.S. and Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
Upkeep of the walkway
Underage development in the club.
What is the Challenge?
From Friday 24th September to Sunday 3rd October we are hoping to engage as many members of our community as possible, along with their family and friends across the globe to come together and achieve the impossible: walk/run/cycle/swim/hike/crawl around the world!!!
Can we cover the 25,000 miles required?!
How do I get involved?
Get out, get active and get the miles clocked up
Log your miles using the form on our club website (there are no limits to the number of miles or number of times you can log miles) and if possible, add a photo.
Get your family and friends involved, especially those born in Ballinascreen and have moved to other parts of Ireland or abroad.
Help us promote the challenge through social media.
Check on our website to see the daily total of miles covered!
